Berkmans Gold Arborvitae

Arborvitae "Berkman's Gold" - 4-5 ft. tall and 3-4 ft. wide. Lovely gold coloring with a narrow growth habit when young becoming pyramidal with age. Great planted in groups as a hedge, or alone. Plant in  an area protected from winter winds.

Fire Chief Arborvitae

Arborvitae "Fire Chief" - Reaches 2 ft. tall and wide in 10 years; to 4 ft. tall and wide at maturity. Nearly perfectly globe shaped shrub has finely textured, bright golden spring foliage and fantastic deep red fall color. This sport of the popular Rheingold variety has more intense coloration and is less prone to splitting. No pruning is necessary to maintain its compact, rounded form. Perfect for massing in the landscape foundation or as a rock garden specimen.

Hetz Midget Arborvitae

Arborvitae "Hetz Midget" - 2-3 ft. tall and wide. A slow growing shrub that forms a small, compact globe. Requires little or no shearing to maintain rounded form. Great plant for tight spots or formal gardens. Protect from winter sun.

Mr. Bowling Ball

Arborvitae "Mr. Bowling Ball" - 2-3 ft. tall and 2-3 ft. wide. A unique, compact, perfectly global arborvitae with dense, fine-textured, soft, sage-green foliage resembling a fine-textured juniper or false cypress. Requires little or no shearing.

Rheingold arborvitae

Arborvitae "Rheingold" - This dwarf evergreen shrub has bright golden foliage that turns to coppery gold in winter. Scale-like foliage appears in flat, fan-shaped clusters. An exceptional choice for rock gardens, and useful in borders or as a foundation plant. Makes a great low hedge in its natural form, or clipped for a formal look. Full sun. Moderate grower, reaching 3 to 5 ft. tall and wide in ten years.

Arborvitae "Woodward Globe" - This evergreen is a wonderful globe shape and is easy to maintain. Usually 4' on all sides in prime locations it can be bigger. Likes full sun but can benefit from afternoon shade. Can be used as a foundation or incorporated in low hedges. *Tolerant to Black Walnut juglone.*

Green Gem Boxwood

Boxwood "Green Gem" - Slow growing to 3 to 4 feet tall and as wide. A small, lush mound of emerald green summer foliage with some bronzing in winter cold. Naturally oval form and dense foliage is perfect for low hedges and an excellent foundation plant. Protect from drying winter winds to prevent tip dieback.

Green Velvet Boxwood

Boxwood "Green Velvet" - Moderate growing 3 to 4 ft. tall and wide.A full bodied Boxwood well suited for dense, low hedges. Foliage retains its rich green color throughout winter. Vigorous, rounded form if left unsheared.

Can be used in a formal garden or trimmed into a hedge or maze. Bright green broad-leaf foliage is a wonderful break spruces and pines. Works well to soften corners and stonework.

Cypress "Kings Gold" - This variety of golden false cypress is more compact and heat tolerant than the original. Produced from a strain of "Gold Mop" it is great in mass or accent plantings. Given abundant sunlight this evergreen becomes even more golden in color. This treasure reaches 4ft tall and wide. Full sun to light shade.

Holly "Blue Princess" - This glossy lady has a blue sheen to her leaves and purple stems that are accentuated by red berries in winter. She's a tall lady reaching 8'-10' at maturity. This princess needs a prince charming such as "Blue Prince" to show off her red berries.

Juniper "Andorra" - Handsome, tightly branching form creates a groundcover versatile for use in rock gardens and in the foreground of borders.  1 foot tall by 6 feet wide. Bright green foliage turns a plum color in winter.

Blue Rug Juniper

Juniper "Blue Rug" - Fast growing to 6 in. tall, spreads 6 to 8 ft. wide. One of the finest trailing junipers having a uniform, full centered growth habit with intense silver-blue evergreen foliage. Excellent for large scale groundcovers or cascading over walls.

Blue Star Juniper

Juniper "Blue Star" - 2-3 ft. tall and 3-4 ft. wide. A low growing, slowly spreading plant a little wider than it is tall. This does not develop a strong leader so it tends to remain dense. Shines like a silver blue star. This variety performs best with cool night temperatures.

Procumbens Juniper

Juniper "Procumbens"  (Japanese Garden Juniper)- dwarf,  shrubby ground cover that grows 2 ft.tall and spreads by long trailing branches to form a dense mat to 10-15’ wide.

Juniper "Sea Green" - This aromatic evergreen shrub reaches 4 to 6 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide with arching branches covered with dark mint-green needles, which darken in the winter.

 Pine "Dwarf Mugo"-  This full sun loving conifer reaches 3-5ft tall and 6-10ft wide in 10 years. Drought tolerant this dwarf version is slow growing with a wide range of landscape uses. Perfectly at home in a rock or zen garden.

Spruce "Dwarf Alberta" - One of our best options to make a formal statement in the garden. This lovely short needled white spruce works wonders as both a topiary and evergreen. Its' natural form can reach 8' high and 5' wide making it perfect for holiday decorating. Naturally occurring dwarf from Alberta Canada.

Globe spruce standard

 Spruce "Globosa" - 4-5 ft. tall 3-5 ft. wide. A compact, rounded, flat topped bush that at maturity is wider than high. The needles are blue white. A slow grower, good where space is limited A very popular variety because of the intense blue foliage. Also available on a standard.

Spruce "Birds Nest" -  This variety traces its origin back to Germany. Very tolerant of wind and cold. For the patient it can be 3'-5' high and 4'-6' wide. Does well in mass, border and specimen gardens. It is also a great alternative to Dwarf Mugo Pine.

Spruce "Pumila" -  This conifer grows at a similar rate to other spruces. Valued as a sanctuary for birds as well as a low hedge in the landscape, this dwarf grows 3'-4' tall and similarly wide. Adorned by blue-green needles this is one of our cold loving varieties.

Yew "Capitata" - Can trimmed into a pyramidal shape. One of the larger growing yews we offer, this variety makes a lovey living screen. Can grow to 8' in 20 years. Excellent choice to provide protection and food for birds.

Yew "Densiformis" - Slow grower to 3 to 4 ft. tall, 4 to 6 ft. wide.Dense, low, spreading shrub is an excellent basic foundation planting for hedge, screen or border. Dark green foliage backs scarlet berries. Versatile and durable, tolerates shearing well.

 Yew "Everlow" - Slow growing with a spreading habit up to 5 feet wide. Usually only 18" high this hybrid makes a lovely short hedge that is tolerant of pruning and severe weather conditions. Robust green foliage is adored by red berries in winter. Versatile in sun or shade.

Yew "Hicksii" - This Yew starts narrow in youth and flushes out with age reaching 15'-20' in 20 years. Fronds are two-toned with darker green on top and a paler tone beneath. Bears a resemblance to the Irish yew but more hardy. Can tolerate heavy shady to full sun. Best used in barriers or hedges.
