Design your own succulent hanging basket. In this class you will be guided by our grower and designer Kathy to create a beautiful arrangement of succulents. You'll receive some succulent starts and an 8 inch hanging basket.

Seed Starting and Companion Planting

Get a head start on planning your spring and summer garden. Learn about companion planting and learn different methods for seed starting. At the end of the class you'll receive a small seed starting tray and some seeds to start.

Landscape Design Workshop
Sunday, March 17 & 24, By Appointment Only
Schedule an appointment with our design architect and grower Kathy. She will guide you in creating a beautiful landscape design for your plot.
Come prepared for your meeting by bringing a rough map of the lot and house. Note any good features and eyesores surrounding the property, along with lifestyle requirements due to animals, children, or nature. Please bring printed photos of landscaping sites.
A $25.00 nonrefundable fee due at registration. ($25 gift card will be given to each participant after the appointment)
Jumpstart to Spring Lecture Series and Tours
Saturday, April 6 - Walk-ins Are Welcomed!
Each class will be free and followed by a tour of our greenhouse facility where we produce a wide variety of our plants. You'll receive a production plant at the end of the tour.
- Grass Seed Class by Helen Dammann at 11: 00 am: We'll share our best tips on timing, which seeds to use, effective products, and troubleshooting.
- No Dig Gardening by Mel Robles. Saturday at 1:00pm: Learn about no dig garden methods and container planting.
- Gardening Vegetables in Indiana by Jim Dammann Sr. at 3:00 pm: Learn how to plan and prepare for the best harvest with our experienced gardener Jim.

Hanging Basket Design Workshop

Dammann's West is a large growing and retail facility that produces the most beautiful hanging baskets in town. Our experts will help you create your own 10" hanging basket with plant plugs. You do the potting and we do the growing! Leave it behind, and we will GROW your container with tender loving care providing water & fertilizer as needed.
Fee is $29.99 and nonrefundable for one 10” container. Pickup dates – 5/6 thru 5/10.
Annual Container Design Workshop
Sunday, April 7 at 3:00 pm
Dammann's West is a large growing and retail facility that produces beautiful annual containers. Our experts will help you create your own mixed annual container with plant plugs. You do the potting and we do the growing! Leave it behind, and we will GROW your container with tender loving care providing water & fertilizer as needed.
Fee is $29.99 and nonrefundable for one 10” container. Pickup dates – 5/8 thru 5/11.

Potting Bar Sundays

Our potting bar will be open from 10am-4pm; purchase a container or bring in your own. Cost is for material only – our designer’s advice is free!

Build A Bug Hotel

Learn about native pollinators and build your own bug hotel to encourage biodiversity in your garden. All materials included. Fee is $15.00 and nonrefundable. This is a kid friendly class but appropriate for all ages.
Natives Plants of Indiana
Sunday, June 16 at 1:00 PM
Create a safe habitat for important pollinators to your garden with native perennials. Learn the varieties of colorful and nectar rich plants. Fee is $10.00 and nonrefundable. Free perennial for all that attend, and Special Houseplant Sale for class attendees.

Pumpkin Painting for All Ages - Hayride Included!!

Visit our garden center to paint your own small pumpkin just in time for your Halloween décor. Children must come with a responsible adult. One pumpkin and materials for painting are included in ticket price. Additional pumpkins can be purchased at the garden center. Stay for our hayride through the haunted plant cemetery.
Scavenger Hunt for All Ages! - Hayride Included!

Visit our retail store for an indoor Scavenger Hunt! You will receive a prize once you find all of the gardening items on the list. Open for ALL ages. Children must come with a responsible adult. Stay for our hayride through the haunted plant cemetery.
Holiday Porch Pot Workshop

Come down to our greenhouse to make your own festive holiday porch pot. Perfect to decorate in time for the holidays. With our designer, you'll decorate a 10" pot with evergreens, branches, pinecones, and berries. Cost is $44.99 for materials.
